Subscription Terms

Last updated: August 31, 2026

These Subscription Terms apply to paid subscriptions, Starter Pass access, renewals, cancellations, one-time digital content purchases, and billing on LearningFirst. They supplement our Terms of Service. The person who completes checkout is the "Purchaser"; the person using the learning service is the "Learner" and may be someone else.

1. Subscription Plans

We may offer a 4-Day Starter Pass, Monthly plan, Yearly plan, promotional plans, or other subscription options. The current standard public plans are: 4-Day Starter Pass ($1 for the first 4 days, then $10/month), Monthly ($10/month), and Yearly ($96/year). The exact plan, price, currency, billing date, renewal date, and access period shown at checkout control your purchase.

2. Billing

By starting a subscription or Starter Pass, you authorize LearningFirst and our payment processor to charge your selected payment method for the fees, taxes, renewals, and other amounts described at checkout. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your full card details.

The Purchaser must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If the Learner is not legally able to do so, a parent or legal guardian must complete checkout as the Purchaser and accept these terms for the Learner.

You may only use a payment method that you are authorized to use. By completing checkout, the Purchaser represents that they are the cardholder or have the cardholder's express permission for both the amount due at checkout and every disclosed automatic-renewal charge. If the payment method belongs to a parent or another person, the Purchaser must provide the cardholder's email address at checkout. We may send that cardholder a notice identifying the LearningFirst account using the card and summarizing the plan, amount due today, and recurring charge disclosed at checkout.

3. Electronic Acceptance

Selecting the required acknowledgement boxes and pressing the button that continues to payment is the Purchaser's electronic signature and affirmative acceptance of these Subscription Terms, the recurring-payment authorization, and the checkout disclosures shown. The agreement becomes effective when the first payment is successfully completed or authorized. The Purchaser agrees that we may create and retain electronic records of the acceptance, including its time, account, policy versions, checkout disclosures, and related technical records.

4. Starter Pass

The Starter Pass is a short paid introductory access period. The $1 Starter Pass fee is charged once at checkout. After the 4-day starter period, the subscription renews automatically at $10/month unless canceled before the renewal date shown at checkout. The Starter Pass is generally available once per user unless we state otherwise.

5. Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before renewal. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly. Yearly subscriptions renew yearly. If your plan converts from a Starter Pass to a Monthly subscription, your first monthly payment will occur on the date shown at checkout or in your subscription page.

By subscribing, you expressly authorize recurring charges at the price and frequency disclosed at checkout until you cancel. We show the renewal status, next billing date, and cancellation controls on your subscription page. If you do not want the next renewal, you are responsible for cancelling before that date. A renewal resulting from failure to cancel is an authorized recurring charge, not a billing error by us, subject to applicable law and these refund terms.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription from your account or subscription page. A cancellation is effective when our system records it. To avoid the next charge, cancellation must be recorded before the next billing date shown in your account. Cancellation disables future automatic renewal but does not immediately remove access. After cancellation, you generally retain access until the end of the paid access period already purchased, unless your access is terminated for violation of our Terms of Service.

7. Subscription Refunds

Subscription renewals are processed automatically according to the agreed billing terms. If you intended to cancel but did not do so before the renewal date, you may request a refund within 7 days of the renewal charge, provided there has been no usage after renewal. Refund requests made more than 7 days after the renewal charge, or after the renewed subscription has been used, are not eligible. Signing in, viewing account or billing settings, cancelling the subscription, or contacting support does not count as subscription use.

A renewal caused by failing to cancel on time is a customer-responsible refund reason, not an error by us. Stripe charges transaction and payment-processing fees when it processes the renewal and does not return those fees to us when we issue a refund. Because we cannot recover that cost, an approved automatic-renewal refund will return the amount we received after Stripe's non-refundable fees, rather than the full original charge.

Refund eligibility is assessed against the latest successful subscription renewal and account activity recorded after that payment. An approved refund cancels the corresponding subscription access. If we confirm that a duplicate or incorrect charge resulted from our billing or technical error, we will refund the full charge without deducting those processing fees. Unauthorized payments, exceptional circumstances, and other requests may be reviewed separately. Nothing in these Subscription Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights that may apply by law.

8. Payment Questions and Dispute Misuse

We provide renewal notices, reminders, account billing information, support channels, and refund review procedures so payment issues can be handled directly when those options are available. We strongly encourage Purchasers, Learners, parents, guardians, and cardholders to use our refund policy and support protocol first for questions about renewals, cancellations, refunds, unauthorized use, duplicate charges, technical billing errors, or other payment concerns.

You must not misuse bank dispute, chargeback, or payment-reversal systems. Misuse includes knowingly making false, incomplete, or misleading claims to a bank, card issuer, payment network, or payment processor; reclaiming payment for charges that were authorized and handled according to these Subscription Terms; or using a dispute process to avoid the cancellation, refund, access, or review rules described here.

If we determine that a customer, account, or cardholder has abused a bank dispute or payment-reversal process, we may suspend or ban the account, block related payment methods, decline future service, blacklist the customer from future purchases where permitted, recover losses, fees, chargeback costs, administrative costs, or other amounts caused by the misuse, and take further legal action or other steps needed to correct the matter and protect our rights. Nothing in this section limits non-waivable consumer rights or restricts rights that cannot be waived by law.

9. One-Time Digital Content Purchases

Some collections or bundles may be offered for a one-time digital content purchase. A one-time purchase is separate from a subscription, does not automatically renew, and gives the purchasing account access to the specific collection or bundle shown at checkout. Buying a bundle means the account receives access to the collections or other included items in that bundle. Those included items are available under the bundle purchase and may remain accessible from the account's acquisitions even without an active platform subscription.

You may request a refund for a one-time digital content purchase only within 7 days after purchase and only if no purchased content has been opened, read, consumed, downloaded, or otherwise used. For bundle purchases, this no-use requirement applies to the bundle and every collection or item included in the bundle. Once we record any access, reading progress, quiz activity, credit or certificate activity, or other learning activity for the purchased content or included bundle content, the purchase is non-refundable.

An approved one-time purchase refund cancels the corresponding purchased access. Refunds cover only the eligible content purchase amount. Third-party payment processing fees, Stripe fees, bank fees, currency conversion fees, taxes, foreign transaction fees, and other external charges are not refundable unless required by law or caused by our confirmed billing or technical error.

10. Failed Payments and Payment Updates

If a payment fails, access may be restricted, paused, or canceled until the payment issue is resolved. We or our payment processor may retry failed payments where permitted. You are responsible for keeping your payment method current and ensuring that your card or payment method supports international online transactions where applicable.

11. Taxes, Currency, and Price Changes

Prices are currently displayed in US dollars unless otherwise stated. Taxes, bank fees, foreign exchange charges, or payment-provider charges may apply depending on your location and payment method. We may change subscription prices or plan features in the future. Material changes will apply prospectively and will be communicated through reasonable means where required.

12. Access Scope

An active subscription provides access to eligible LearningFirst subscription content and features during the active access period. Some content, partner programs, one-off purchases, institutional access, beta features, or special products may have separate terms or access rules.

13. Contact
