[Psychothon] Perception - Why We Don't See Reality

Perception is not a recording of the world. It is a construction — built by a brain that synthesises fragmentary, noisy sensory data into a seamless, stable experience using prior knowledge, prediction, and active inference. Stage 0 (Survey) covers the neural machinery: action potentials, sensory receptors, and the major sensory pathways from body surface to cortex. Stage 1 (Establish) makes the core argument that the brain is a prediction machine, not a camera — using visual illusions, binocular rivalry, and colour constancy as primary evidence, and arriving at the full constructivist account of perception.
