NII Core Process — Advisor Guide

Coaching a human-centred design cycle from user research through a built, user-tested prototype.

Students identify an unmet human need and design something that meets it — product, service, or process; physical or digital — then build it and test it with real users. This guide covers only that core process — the 14 modules that are specific to Design Innovation — with full review items, coaching points, and borderline cases. Everything a project needs beyond the core process (problem framing, iteration, value and impact, planning, collaboration, reflection, ethics, submission) is identical across all nine tracks and lives in NIM Project Guide — Advisor Edition.
